
This half hour documentary was funded by the European Union. HanrahanMedia was chosen to produce a documentary about the work of teachers, trainers and European experts as they tried to introduce the concept of Entrepreneurship in disadvantaged townships.
Letting people know about some very valuable work being done in South Africa isn't always easy. Subject matter can be dry and seem worthy. We made a great TV programme about this work which is both highly watchable and informative.
The scheme we highlighted is creating wealth by teaching skills and then teaching how to turn those skills into a business. It's run by an organisation called TABEISA which is made up of a consortium of British and South African Universities.
Together, they investigate how township-dwellers can break through the barriers preventing them from benefiting from and contributing too business opportunites.
